I traded for an older, custom S&W revolver. He gave full disclosure on the gun; having never shot it and knowing it wasn't a factory gun, he cautioned on just going home and blasting rounds through a 44 that had been custom built. He even went so far as to call 5 mins after the trade to make sure I knew what I was getting and that it would be wise to have a gunsmith check it over. I served as an armorer/weapons specialist in the Army, so I would of checked it out before I shot it anyway, but there are a lot of people who don't have such an extensive knowledge of firearms as some of us do. It's nice to trade someone who isn't just interested in themselves and actually cares about safety, and making a good trade with a stranger.
