First off, I posted this positive feedback before I had a LOT of issues with this guy.
Initially, he tried to get out of buying the rifle because he did not have the money. He should not have claimed the rifle in my thread unless he had the money to pay for it. He then confirmed that he was not going to be able to buy the rifle. So, I posted negative feedback. Minutes after I posted the feedback, he, all of the sudden, had the money to pay for the rifle. So, we proceeded.
When he sent payment via PayPal, he intentionally sent it incorrectly, after I gave him specific instructions to send payment with no indication that the payment was firearms-related. He ended up putting "Quickshot shooting range" in the comment box, which is absolutely asinine when using PayPal. When I asked him about it, he replied "Didn't think I did". OK. Not sure how you accidentally do that.
I sold him a 100% factory LWRC piston rifle that cost me $2,200+ and I only had 70-90 rounds through it. When he received the rifle, he told me that the axis pins for the FCG were backing out during the first mag and that I owed him $61 because that is what his gunsmith charged him to install new pins. To me, that was absurd and I refused to reimburse him. He could not provide any proof that the rifle actually had a problem. He could not provide any proof that he actually took the rifle to a gunsmith. He could never get his story straight. First, he had issues with the first mag. Then, he had issues after the first mag. It was always something different.
He later claimed I was dishonest because I wanted to do the transaction via PayPal, but he was the one who initiated the use of PayPal because he posted "I'm in if you can do PayPal" in my thread.
He complained that I lied and claimed the rifle was "new in box" and what he received was a used rifle. However, my ad clearly stated "It has been very lightly used. Round count is less than a few mags.".
This guy ended up posting negative feedback because I would not reimburse him the $61 that he could not even prove that he had to spend on the rifle. That feedback ended up being removed by the moderators. Once it was removed, he posted negative feedback a second time and that was also removed. Then, he posted a THIRD negative, which was also removed by the admins. Overall, dealing with this guy was a massive pain in the a** and I would never deal with him again. Personally, I do not think he deserves positive feedback for this transaction, but I posted it before we had a lot of these issues. I would change it to a "neutral", but it really isn't worth the hassle of dealing with this guy any longer.
Overall, I found this guy to be very annoying and dishonest. Cover your a** when dealing with him. He is impossible to please and acts like a petulant child when he does not get his way. No one, in a million years, is going to convince me that this guy had issues with the axis pins backing out of the rifle and there is no way it takes $61 to install new axis pins. I think the guy made this all up just to try and squeeze a few bucks out of me and, when it didn't go his way, he threw an infantile temper tantrum.
Lastly, I would like to thank the moderators and administrators for dealing with these issues in a fair and timely manner. You guys are awesome.
