On Friday, he messaged saying he will take the ammo. We agreed on price, location, time, and date (today) via ODT message. Several hours later, he messaged to request a 40% discount on ammo. Gently reminded him the deal was agreed upon and all that is left is meeting up to complete the trade. He agrees.
Fast forward to the day of the meet-up (today). Four hours before the agreed meeting time, he messaged saying he was injured and wanted to bail on our meet-up. Once again, gently reminded him the deal was agreed upon, but I offered him a second chance to reschedule. I get it, life happens sometimes. He reschedules for Wednesday, we agreed to meet on Wednesday. 15 minutes later, he messaged to say he can meet today not Wednesday.
Drove 25 minutes in traffic to get to the meeting location. I parked and waited. He messaged “I'll just turn around and went home I cannot make it today”. I informed him of the impending negative feedback with no reply from him.
Conversations were documented on ODT messages and GPS location data saved (to show I was at the meeting location) to support this feedback.
One last thing, I do not take any pleasure in giving this feedback. Anyone looking through my ODT messages will see I try to give newbies a second chance if there is a mistake. We were all under 10 feedback once upon a time. In this case, I feel ample and multiple opportunities were given to possibly avoid this feedback.
Sorry, this was so long. Thanks for reading. Hope everyone is having a great day.
