I just wanted to inform you about that Springfield 1911 gun I bought from you. I took it to the range it did not perform as it should. I took it to my gunsmith (Bill Hayllar) who took it all apart and had to refit all the parts. He said a 2 spring pins weren't installed correctly and 1 was the wrong pin completely. That's why the safety didn't function properly. The front bushing compensator wasn't fitted properly and it could have been unsafe to shoot. I also had him polish out the 2 marks that scratched the frame from improper reassembly. It cost me $175 to get the firearm in "as advertised" proper working condition.
I feel as a firearm instructor, you knew, or should have known about these upgrade and parts issues. These issues weren't disclosed in the listing, if you knew. Also, you only uploaded 1 picture and purposefully hid the scratches on the other side of the frame.
Now, it's partly my fault for not asking for more pictures to confirm if it had the scratches, and I could have backed out of the deal when we met. However, I felt that as an instructor, as you claimed, you were trustworthy enough for me to trust the upgrade, safety, fit, and function of the firearm. I was wrong. This gun was not in proper working order or safe to shoot.
Omitting the truth about a gun listing is the same as lying in my eyes. This forum is for fellow enthusiasts to enjoy and have comradery with other people. You are untrustworthy and everyone should know it. I will be updating my feedback or leaving new feedback and notifying the moderators.
