Told me halfway to the meet his FFL sold the gun he sold to me.

Had a deal set for a time and location that he suggested. I told him I was located far away, and asked for some options.

While I was driving halfway to the meet, he texted me saying his FFL sold the gun that morning. Until then, no mention was made that it was actively for sale in other channels, nor (most importantly) that he did not have the gun in his possession. Maybe that's just bad luck for both of us, but definitely bad for me, and I think it could and should have been avoided (or at the very least handled differently).

He did apologize, but a chunk of my time and gas was wasted. I have no ill will towards this guy, and his feedback is stellar. But I do believe in the ODT feedback system and why it exists, so I will just share my experience and move on.
