11/3 Deer Hunt

Glad I went out this morning. I was in a rush so I had to settle for the little one.

Was about to drop a "doe" back in the woods. Had safety off and on first stage wall; just needed to take a step for a clean shot. The doe moved her head into the sunlight, and it was a little spike. He was one step and a second in time from being out of the gene pool. Planning on hunting tomorrow evening as brother and friend are going to hunt tomorrow AM.

Bucked out. Came in chasing. Totally missed the first time. Doe circled around and brought him back to me. Smoked him the second time. He's a pretty deer but there is definitely a little ground shrinkage! Never saw this deer on any of my cameras.

Clean missed one with the 870. I'm about ready to burn the ground blind down. I missed the same buck during bow seasoning the exact same spot.

Good luck to everyone this AM. I’m sitting here peeking out the back door in Social Circle. The back door is a really good spot, believe it or not. LOL
