My wife used to do the scheduling for one who is local to Cherokee. There was only 2 guys in the company but they were both fire fighters. I'll get there name later today

Yes, but I can't remember it. I just know him. He is a parent of one of my kid's friends at school so I met him that way and only have his cell number. He has done work for me and is an outstanding person. Very nice. Gentle Ben type of guy.

Bump, and asking if anybody knows a chimney sweep in Cumming or western Hall Co./Gainesville.
I have moderate creosote build up in a fireplace chimney.
Used every winter for 30 years and never been cleaned.
Looks like sbout 1mm thick layer, evenly distributed.

Good thread. I will try the Sweepy Hollow guy,as he is the closest. My wife hired a guy, can`t remember the name of the company. He wouldn`t get on the house. Tried to do our chimney from the bottom ,through the wood stove insert. Wife sent him on his way. So, I had to go back to doing it myself from a 38 foot ladder. The main reason I want a sweep is to clean the vent on top of the chimney. I also would like to replace the vent with a larger one.
