I'd be cool with that, but I'm curious as to what we'd have to give up as well as if we could afford it with the current cap situation. I just don't get pennix. He's gonna have to sit 2 years, so why use the 8th overall on him when you've invested so much into cousins?

You didn’t get any better drafting a QB at 8. I thought we were all in for the 2 years with Cousins at QB butt I guess not. You drafted a guy who won’t play until he’s almost 28

Given the context of the situation the pick just doesn’t make sense to me. You went out and got a good QB in free agency. Now you draft a guy who won’t play for 2-3 years and you’ll only have one season of him playing before you have to decide on his 5th year option. Also you don’t even k ow if you’ll have a first round pick in 2025 given the tampering investigation. Also you’ll have to make the decision on 5th year options for Kyle Pitts, Drake London and Bijan Robinson before Penix even becomes the starter.
