The 1990’s were indeed a long time ago and bows have come a long long way since then. I started out bowhunting in the 1980’s, never shot competitions but my buddies never wanted to shoot at each other’s nocks with me. Even with all the new tech and everything that goes into a new bow, the max effective range is not ever gonna be as far as some now have the ability to shoot. Go watch Cameron Haynes shoot and tell me if you think his arrows could cleanly kill a deer at that distance. I seriously doubt it would.Things must have changed since I tuned bows for wiley outdoor sports in the 80s and shot 3d competition when I shot 7th in the state of Georgia in the 90s. But what do I know.
Oh, and congratulations on shooting 7th in the State back in the 90’s. That’s quite the accomplishment. I’d like to see some pictures or the award that you received.
