I just added a 617 to my revolver family and all the snap caps on the market seem to have crappy reviews. then I came across the drywall anchor. I order a pack of 100

Hillman Group 370326 Ribbed Plastic Anchor, 4-6-8 X 7/8-Inch, Yellow, 100-Pack

Anyone have experience using these in a revolver? the good bad & ugly?

thanks!

The original version worked well, but Hillman changed the design or supplier

Meh. I use the drywall anchors. Even with the smaller rim it's enough to keep them from dropping too far into the chamber, and the extractor on my bolt gun catches and ejects them just like real ammo. I can even feed them from the magazine, though only with one in the mag at a time. I get about 6-8 trigger pulls before the rim is chewed up enough to warrant tossing it and getting a replacement though if you're a purist replacing after a single pull would't break the bank.
