After a long 16 months my Elk was delivered Friday.
It's much larger than I remember, and it's heavy.
I have a 19 foot vaulted ceiling and it will be placed center stage near the top of the wall.
I going to have to install an eyebolt in the main cross beam and hoist with rope & pulley while someone steadies it climbing a ladder, then it will easily settle into a 2x4 French Cleat attached to the wall and the other cleat on the mounting plate.
Now to fab up a backing/mounting plate made from old saw cut barn wood, attach the mount and lift everything into place at one time easily.
Elk was harvested in an area known as Parts Unknown (I remember way back in the day a few Wrastlers came from this same area)
had to buy another freezer for the meat, luckley the other freezer had some room for the overflow
Another item scratched off my Bucket List
