Item Description: I have a spam can of 700 rounds of 7.62x39 fmj russian non corrosive steel cased. Cherokee gun and pawn sells them for $199 plus tax=211, and they typically have some of the best prices on stuff. So, I am letting it go for the low low price of $175 this weekend

$175 for 700 rounds = not brass case for sure. Not only that, Russian armies have always used a coated steel case...

It will be steel case. Russian military never fielded brass 7.62x39.
It is a great price for mil-spec sealed ammo. It will fire 100 years from now.
OP, is there any writing on the side of the can, or is metal stamped with the arsenal ID/picture? I will be able to tell you who made the ammo, if I can get just a bit more info.
