Item Description: From a recent estate sale- Stevens 44 Ideal Model 47 Modern Range .22 Rifle on a 44 action c.1903. Re barreled with a heavy weight Winchester M1885 full octagon barrel 28.25" in length. (Barrels on these rifles are takedown and held in place with a set screw. I'm unsure if the threads on a Winchester is the same as a Stevens or if barrel threads were recut for this Stevens receiver.) Lower tang has sn#"20879". With the forearm removed "47" , "EX", and "O" are stamped on flat front of receiver indicating Steven Model 47 with this distinctive loop lever. Bottom of barrel stamped ".22 R.F.". Brown overall with forearm customized with an inlay. Upper tang missing three screws as shown where a tang sight was removed. .22 LR cartridge will chamber but extractor lip is broken and will need to be replaced. Prefer to meet in person but will ship for 30.00. Price $995.00
