Item Description: Allen & Wheelock Bar Hammer Double Action Pocket Model Percussion Revolver mfg. 1857 - early 1860s. Total quantity about 1500. .34 caliber, five shot 3.75" barrel. Matching serial number and frame "267" making this the 'Early Model' with a "low survival rate and considered the hardest to find by collectors" per Flayderman. Scarce Secondary Civil War era percussion pistol. Condition: Frame shows no original finish. Cylinder retains some of it's original blue and has a strong cylinder scene. Cear markings to top strap and patent information on hammer, double action rotates and functions fine except trigger return spring is weak and trigger has to be helped forward. Original wood grips are excellent. Price is 800.00 Shipping 15.00 with U.S. Postal Money Order or Paypal.
