Item Description: For sale only is this Remington Model 7 chambered for .222 caliber. This is one of the older models that Remington only made for a short time before discontinuing it. This is a lightweight rifle in an easy shooting caliber with collectible appeal. Everything is factory, and the rifle is in excellent condition as shown in the photos (I don't have the box or papers). I am glad to provide additional photos upon request.

What’s the production date?

The code stamped on the left side of the barrel is "PD". Using some online sources for Remington manufacture dates, I interpret that as June (P = sixth month) of 1983 (the year associated with "D" in Remington's repeating cycle). That at least lines up with what has always been my casual understanding that the rifle was made in the 1980's.

If others have more and/or better information, will welcome it.
