Item Description: Steyr Chilean Mauser M1912-61 Nato short rifle. Manufactured from 1912-14 in Austria for Chile in 7mm. Coverted b/w 1960 & 62 to 7.62 Nato using 23.5" Springfield 1903 2 grove barrel. These are a variant of the Mauser 98.
Matching numbers on stock, barrel, trigger guard, magazine cover and reciver. Bolt is non-matching. Chilean miner's hammer stamps are found throughout. Reciever, bolt, sling mounts, butt plate, and barrel clamp are all in the white. Bore is excellent and Includes original leather sling. Was covered in cosmoline when I received.
