With a brush. If they are really dirty I wash them off and dry them right before I cook them.

Yep. A brush or a balled up paper towel. I try my best not to get them wet.
I picked a mess of chantrelles today. They are certainly popping up.
Starting to dry up around here so went to grab enough for supper tonight.
Anyone know what these are? They just popped up by my A/C unit.
Looks like some sort of gerronema.
