my truck is misfiring

If it does turn out to be your muffler bearing, about the only place you can get one anymore is here:

Decent price too.

They also have spark plugs, if your spark is in fact leaking:

No way its a muffler bearing on that model S10. Those were self sealed and self lubricating and self adjusting. I don't think they can ever wear out.

Admittedly, I haven't read all the replies. My systematic recommendation would be:

Compression and leak down tests first,

Ignition troubleshooting with all new plugs followed by parts swapping to attempt to narrow issue down to a cylinder (previous mentioned pulling one wire or coil at a time to see if the engine runs worse),

If the problem can be narrowed to a cylinder, but the problem stays with the cylinder after swapping parts, I would suspect injection on that cylinder if the above tests are good.

If the problem can't be narrowed to a cylinder, other suggestions seem proper such as broad ignition components (cap/rotor, PTU (power transistor unit) / ignitor module), fuel and air filters, emissions system, etc.

My guess would be that the catalytic convertor is stopped up. Check the floorboard area right above the CC. If it is hot, that might be your problem. Seafoam in the gas tank is always a plus.
