Rare find

I walked into my local shop and to my suprise I found a Remington 788. I know that the 788 is not rare but the caliber it is in is. It is chambered in 44 magnum. I have never seen onE but have heard and read about them. The gun is around 85% with era correct bushnell scope.

If it is in a short barreled compact configuration, that would be a great deer/vermin rifle. Could be a lot of fun and an easy carrying rig, did you get it?

yes it has the short barrel and i did get it . I couldn't pass it up

788 is probably my favorite deer rifle I had a couple and love them great find

I got one in 6mm. I love it. it was handed down from my dad who bought it new in the early 80's. I think he bought it at K-Mart if I remember right. Great deer and coyote rifle.

Where did you get it? and did they have one in 30-30?

they didn't have a 30 30 but a guy was going to make a trade and didn't do it . The shop owner is a very good friend of mine and told the guy to let me look at the gun and see if I was interested. I bought the gun and the seller turned around and bought the gun that he wanted..
