Ruger American pistol

Has anyone seen these? The rumor is it will be introduced at SHOT. Available in 9mm and .45...I'm intrigued.

It doesn't look like their design. I wonder if they are pulling a Springfield and just stamping their name on it? Kind of looks Turkish to me.

Kewl. I'll be interested to see one. I like me some Rugers, but they've got a tough row to hoe to beat the cost/reliability ratio of the G-lock.

I'm a big Ruger fan but that is one ugly gun. It's like an ugly girl , I might bang her but I don't want my friends to see me with her.

That is where every company goes wrong 50+ dollar mags makes it hard for the average guy to buy a pistol and have enough mags to compete with, to show off their product. Or expensive hard to find mags are worse like the gen1 Springfield 45acp you couldn't find 13rd mags to save your life and if you did you payed out the ass for them. Expensive mags are a 100% deal breaker for me when it comes to NEW gun purchases.

Agreed, and Ruger is notorious for expensive aftermarket mags. I hope that isn't the case with this one. I'm also hoping these are as affordable, or more affordable as their rifle counterparts.
