WWII Scale model’s

My 5 year old grandson saw a nutcracker decoration and told me if I could paint one like that it would be a masterpiece. Well I took a few days to see if I could paint up to his expectations. Certainly not a masterpiece but he gave me his approval, even though it’s not done.

Quite possibly the worst model I’ve ever built I lost a few parts, broke the rudder off a couple times, and spilled thinner on it after I finished painting it. I also wrecked and lost a few decals Great kit my aircraft building skills suck. Either way Bf109 G-6. Have a P51 on the bench that hopefully will turn out better.

The finished piece. I may go back and add some stripes or something to the pants for more visual interest. Now I’ve been tasked to paint a drummer nutcracker for the MIL...
I'm not much of a Christmas guy but I love Nutcrackers. I even keep a couple of small ones on my desk year round. I watched some videos on making them with the thought of giving it a try but quickly realized that it was beyond my meager carpentry skills.
