Good advice. I had not thought of that. I was of the opinion that even a cheap scope should be okay for armadillos at 50 yards or less, on a .22LR. It is sure worth trying shims. Thank you.
Indeed! It was first tried on a .223, then a .22LR, so it isn't like it was strapped to a .500 Nitro Express. I think it will become a hand-held viewer. Should work for that.
Zero is like 1/2 MOA with another scope on the 10-22, and around 1 1/4 MOA on the other platform, so I think the rifle is ruled out as the problem. Everyone seems to be verifying my opinion. Thank you.
I am beginning to agree with your opinion on this. Thanks.
Hello. Is it a known common problem to get a Sightmark Photon to "zero" and stay there? It seems that there is not enough adjustment in elevation to zero it? Also, seems that windage might drift (even on a .22 LR). The Photon in discussion has been tried on 2 different platforms, with same...
Hello. I realize it is all mixed, and I have no problem with that. I have no problem with foreign surplus. My only concern is that some might be corrosive. Do you KNOW for certain that NONE of it is corrosive? (That is not a common problem in surplus .308/7.62x51, but is possible.) Thanks.
I was using an old Speer manual to work up a load for those bullets, as the Speer bullet I used to use is unavailable now, and started in the middle of it's recommendations. I immediately ran into the bullet jamming in the rifling. Now, to work that loading up some. Thank you.
Yes, I was having the problem of it jamming the bullets so deeply they would lodge in the barrel and pull out of the case when ejected (unfired, of course). Never had this problem with any bullet but these Match Burners. Thanks.
