I have a different model on my IWI, and I like it very much. My local dealer told me that if you get green reticle or Elite models, the warranty is lifetime, no questions asked. I din't know why the reticle color matters, he didn't either, but he got the info from his distributor.
Most Eastern King snakes have vertical bands around them, and rat snakes more of a camouflage pattern. The vertical bands might be white or yellow, or grayish versions of those if the snake is close to shedding.
It's not a high powered magnum cartridge. It's a .308 case pushing a .338 caliber projectile, just like a .243 is a .308 pushing a smaller projectile. .338 Fed is a very nice cartridge, I have a rifle that shoots them.
