    That is pure plumbers lead. Should be a dark gray color. I had some marked MISSOURI (Five 5 lb ingots to a chain). I paid $1.00 per pound 15 years ago at a plumbers supply in downtown Atlanta.

    I used to go back in the 1990's. Range used people sentenced to community service changing targets in between rounds. 100 and 200 rifle range. 25 yard pistol range i think.

    Most any 4" barreled .357 will get the job done. I have a S&W 686 with 6" barrel...cool gun, but barrel too long for carry. I like stainless because it is easy to care for. Get whatever fits your hand good and you can shoot good. S&W 686 with Black Hogue grips comes to mind again and with 4"...
