LOL, Same for me the 7-11 had type of corral just for empty soda bottles I'd go around the neighborhood gathering them up in my wagon then cash in for sodas, candy, and comic books.
I'd drive that Pinto wagon in a heartbeat! Go to your local classic car show in one, I'm sure it would get more attention than the same old Mustangs and Camaros you see every time I go to one.
By the late 70's AMC already had one foot in the grave. They had to try about anything to get people into there showrooms . They couldn't compete with the big 3. So their design team came up with some crazy looking cars remember the Pacer? But also some interesting ones like the 4x4 Eagle wagons.
Very poor judgement on everyone involved. First off the good Samaritan got out of the truck and left it running or keys in the ignition. Second he attempts to stop a carjacker by firing a weapon at the bad guy who appeared to be unarmed had he killed him he would have been charged. He missed...
I can't believe he missed at point blank range. It makes me wonder if he was trying to scare the carjacker? who knows what he was thinking. But his inability to fully commit at that point ended up costing him his life.
Agreed in that situation I would have just let him go, if the good Samaritan had actually killed him I imagine he would have been charged if the carjacker wasn't armed with a weapon. It's not like he was going to outrun the police in a F-450 with a utility bed.
