Reviewing it, even though I think he wrote down the wrong code (hard to read on my copy) it's a $100 and 3 points. Which in my opinion is ridiculous given that they have texting and driving w/o a seat belt as 1 point and $20 fines, even though there is a huge national campaign to stop them.
I should state it was at a fairly busy 4 way stop so they would have easily seen my brake lights and should have been prepared to stop given the long line of cars, but that's all semantics at this point.
Yes they have the full authority of Atlanta Police on campus. I guess my best bet is to go see the prosecutor/solicitor right before the court time and try to get it reduced. Just bummed that looking at my driving history he couldn't have given me a warning.
