    dividends are reinvested, not taxed until withdrawn. And these mutual funds focus on consistent high payers, not questionable companies.

    both Vanguard and Fidelity, and many others, have dividend focused mutual funds which target companies with histories of paying consistent and/or higher dividends. Check them out.

    get a good dividend focused mutual fund. spread your money around, not in just one company's stock. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Vanguard and Fidelity have these, average about 8 % per year.
