It has to be overseen by volunteer licensed operators...but COVID required a shift and from what I've read, while a lot of folks still think in-person is easier, more and more folks are getting licensed online
getting closer to wanting to take the technicians license test. I'm almost scoring 80% on every practice exam. I want to get that average up to 85% before I go online to take it. I still don't know what the hell I'm doing, but I'll be able to pass the test
Is the Ham Radio Outlet worth the drive from Kennesaw once I'm licensed and ready to buy a small, budget friendly home setup? I'll be buying blind, with only my knowledge from the ol' interwebs.
Currently starting the ham radio journey myself. Started the online tech license prep stuff, some of it makes sense, a lot of it does not lol. I want to learn something new and also have emergency communication ability, etc. I'm not too good to tell you that "Ham Radio for Dummies" showed up at...
Going to try and make the 4/20 match at @West GA Precision 22LR - with the new setup of back-to-back matches...what time are ya'll getting done with the NRL match? I've got time restraints that afternoon so trying to figure out if I can make it work to run the morning NRL22 match.
But seriously...anyone that brings a portable heater will become my best friend...and by best friend I mean I'll be pressed up against you trying to get some heat...
^ the current forecasted temperature for next Saturday's NRL22 match. I'm heading over to Amazon to get a very warm hat and some more thermal under layers lol
Happy New Year All! I struggled to stay awake until midnight...and I'm not mad about it! :) I'm ready to see Bama stomp Michigan and Texas put a hurting on Washington today.
I'll wait to hear from Wade to confirm the W GA date for 1/20/24 and if that for some reason isn't happening, I'll 100% hit Cohutta. I've shot up there once, it was like their 2nd or 3rd NRL22 match at that time
