    Headed to my dad's mid afternoon to start cooking ribs, baked beans, and loaded baked potatoes. My wife, daughter and two grand daughters will be joining us sometime after us man folk get the food going. Eating around 7 and will be shooting off some fireworks at dark thirty.

    No one probably. Then again, I'm not expecting great accuracy anyway, it is a long action autoloader after all. I'll load a few like I mentioned above and hopefully they will function reliably. Hopefully it will reduce recoil energy by around 3½ pounds.

    Anyone load for a 7400 in .270? If so, what have you found to be the most accurate loads? I'm looking at maybe loading my dad some 130 grain Hornady SST on the starting load side of things.
