Thanks again. I checked out your site by the way. i might be giving you a call once im ready to buy a suppressor. You have Keith Wood listed as a good attorney for NFA trusts. Do you know what he charges now and if anyone has had his trusts rejected?
If this happens in the US, the DHS, police, and military will be the only legal bearers of firearms. Sounds like a repeat of history, many times over. Smh
I might end up doing that. I dont know about using quicken tho. Ive heard of forms/purchases getting rejected based on those. Sorry OP for thread-jacking
Yeah, i'm not really feeling the $355. i heard Doug used to whip one up for $150-$200. Im still on my search for lawyer options. I'd prefer to not set it up myself and risk it getting rejected on a purchase.
No worries man. Thanks for the clarification. I havent come across that scenario in life, just hypothetical. How are DIAS handled? Dropping it into a semi-auto AR would technically be manufacturing of a Class 3 weapon, correct? So those are off limits? (Yeah i know this post is heading in a...
I asked the same question on a follow up from another thread i started. I heard Doug King was the go-to guy, but he moved to Alaska. Apparently right now Roy Baker is the go-to NFA attorney in GA. I'm going to give him a call this week to get mine setup. I think his price is kind of high though...
Right, they should. but hypothetically, say someone's grandfather stashed away some thompsons in his attic after prohibition and just never registered them. they are of historic value and are older than 50 years. Could i purchase them and then inform the ATF of the find? or could the grandfather...
thanks guys. I'm going to give Roy a call and get it all setup. With a C&R license, are you able to purchase pre-ban historical weapons that are not registered through ATF? From my reading, with a trust you can only purchase those that were registered prior to May 1986.
Ok. Anyone used Attorney Michael Douglas King in Marietta for setting up the trust? I keep hearing his name pop up. I'd prefer to go to a lawyer as opposed to using the software myself.
Do you still have to fill out Form 1 or 4 and go through the 6+ month wait if your have a CR license?- of so, there doesnt seem to be any benefit of having it.
I'm definitely going to get a couple of supressors and MGs. havent decided on SBRs yet though. But the trust would cover these. My question is more for items that are both CR and fall under C3 MGs, i.e thompson or M1918. (if i can find one). Would a trust be sufficient for these as well or is a...
