    Yeah I would be willing to try it, although it almost sounds like it would be tougher in a pump. The tube would have to be modified to fit the other round, and I doubt the extractor would pull out the smaller spent casings.

    I have seen these before from another company, but have never gotten the chance to try them out. Love the idea though, like you said for a SHTF scenario it seems like a nice backup to have.

    When it's really cold outside just keep your lighter in one of your front pockets. Your body heat keeps it warm enough that it will always light. Not sure why the cold affects it, but just something I picked up when I used to smoke.
