For those of you that think a hotel is the answer, there aren’t many options in Jasper and even if we could get a room there isn’t a guarantee we could get out. We had neighbors that couldn’t get out for 4 or 5 days after the tornados last August. Not having a whole house gen. in the mountains...
We are out of town, got an alert power went off and gen kicked in immediately. Power was restored 3 hours later and gen shut off. I’m glad the previous owner installed it and now would never be without one.
Our power goes out at least 3 times a year. Once this year for over 2 days. I would not be without a whole house generator. I would not want the responsibility of back feeding with a portable generator and forgetting to cut off the main breaker on my panel and electrocuting a lineman.

We will bug in. I doubt the Atlanta thugs ever get up here. Besides that, I would not want to leave my home. I'd rather stay here and do what I could to protect it.
We usually donate a lot of our extra/stash to the local food bank every January and this did catch us off a little. I was able to restock and have plenty. I didn't realize how hard it would be to find powdered milk, even though I hate it after having to drink it as a kid. The wife insists we...
Not to mention the Italians live pretty close together and have the 5th oldest population in the world. Also they have many families that share housing with multi generations unlike we do here in the USA. At least we don't at the present.
It will not matter. Parents will keep sending their kids to liberal schools. The kids will complain about student debt and are living in their parents basement because they can't get a job with their worthless degree.
