  1. Bug out to the hills.

There isn't a plan, it's a larper fantasy. Way too many people believe it is viable to pack up there whole family (young old sick etc) and want to head for the woods. If it's truly that bad (not covid not BLM) leave the city what makes them think it will be any better innawoods? The whole bug...
  2. Best deal on bulk rice and beans

Tough market now but use to purchase a bit at Costco and Aldi. Interested where to find more now.
  3. Coronavirus Pandemic (many threads merged)

There hasn't been a conclusive in vivo RCT that displays efficacy. The results are anecdotal, and when that is coupled with the fact that ~ 80% of the people who contract COVID-19 don't require hospitalization means that its not the "game changer" its touted to be. Like I said, the real game...
  4. Coronavirus Pandemic (many threads merged)

Short answer: no Grabbing at straws with an off label drug. The real game changer would be a novel antiviral medication that DIRECTLY targets the virus. But that takes time to develop.
  5. Grid Down

But it's more fun to focus on the 12th rifle and the 15 thousandth round of ammo. Seriously though, that should be priority one. It's a shame that so many people overlook that.
  6. Grid Down

Water Medical supplies (think beyond tccc, preventing infection and maintaining access to critical prescriptions is more important) Food you can't eat lead or gold. The guns are important but vastly overrated compared to other more critical necessities.
  7. Should medical training be on the summer to do list?

That makes a lot more sense!
  8. Should medical training be on the summer to do list?

I know, in a medical kit thought? It doesn't seem like first line life or death priority like the other times in the kit.
  9. Should medical training be on the summer to do list?

    why the zpacks?
  10. Should medical training be on the summer to do list?

There are a lot more common problems than getting shot. A medical class will help you respond to many of them. Definitely get it done if you can. Med is more important than the tactical shooting classes for regular folks Best way to survive getting shot is to not get shot in the first place...
  11. Five Guns

What is an extended event ?
  12. What food can be stored in a get home bag.

    peanut butter
  13. Natural Gas Flow during extended Power Outage

They are both depending on each other to a certain degree with electric pumps and pressurizers moving gas and a lot of electricity is generated from natural gas. I wouldn't count on it.
  14. What does your fitness routine look like?

And if you are just buying gear and not working out/moving why do you feel that is a good strategy?
  15. What Most Preppers Ignore About Surviving a Collapse

The best way I heard it summarized from a friend was something like “How can you plan on defending yourself from an attack when your heart is planning to attack you?”
  16. What Most Preppers Ignore About Surviving a Collapse

Interesting how the the thread on gear has hundreds of replies but this one (which in my opinion is vastly more important) only has five replies.
  17. Electromagnetic Pulse

Worry about heart disease not high altitude emp attacks
  18. valuable post - SHTF skills?

A solid cardiovascular/strength base. If you have to move and you can't move you're gonna have a bad time.
  19. Finding land questions

Ditto, people can always make more guns and ATV's but you can't say the same thing about land
  20. Missing Something?

This may be a little off topic but one thing I think a lot of people are missing is physical fitness! I know we have cars but it doesn't work or if it breaks and you gotta keep moving what are you going to do? All the high speed tactical gear doesn't mean anything when you look like a ball of...
