  1. Food for thought (no pun intended)

Man this is gonna be a good thread, subscribed! :D On a smaller scale though look at how people reacted to the Twinkie fiasco. Many people are too concerned with their possessions to realize the importance of basic necessities. It puts peoples lives in danger when they step into something that...
  2. How to make a Zeer pot (temporary cold (or at least cool) storage)

The zeer pots work pretty good depending on how large of a pot you use and the amount of sand. I made on in March for a instruction demonstration at school. I was surprised by the outcome. They do work, but your gonna need a very big pot to get something really cold.

  6. Best Survial Knife (A Must Have!)

The ESEE Izula is a great knife. It gave me the courage to spend more money on a bigger ESEE Rowan knife.

  16. Rain Barrel

The barrel I got from my grandfather, just sitting in his pile of random stuff. I bought the pvc piping at lowes and the knob I got off my old man. It was brand new he just had it sitting around. I have found a few people on criagslist that have the barrels for about 20 bucks. Plus all the...
  17. Rain Barrel

Yeah I would try to drink it unless I filtered it and boiled it. It's my first attempt so this one is mostly going to be used to pressure wash and use in the garden.
  18. Rain Barrel

I have always thought these were pretty interesting. So I went out on a limb and made one. Cost less than 20 bucks to make and get everything. Works pretty good, I just have a small leak. Its dripping a drop about every 20-25 secs. Anybody know if silicon would seal it with the leak. Or do I...
  19. Topographic Maps

Just ended up printing them out, and having to overlay and tape together to good enough map to use. Its a little harder to read but I think it will work. Thanks for the recommendation.
  20. Topographic Maps

I think its coming down to just forking out 20 buck's per map. Whatever happened to things being affordable or reasonably priced?
