Why make drinking water from boiling water you already have? If you got water to boil , & it's boiling . . . drink that! Looks like you gonna evaporate more of what you "could" be drinking than what you'll be getting. -
Bug out bags
The First Aid Kit at your work is a good place to start. The big ones that hang on the wall usually have some good stuff in them. The guy that keeps it stocked usually comes by every so often and refills it. I'm not saying steal & rob it blind but it has Quik clot & burn gels. . plenty of guaze... -

I don't know how long you can stay inside without ventilation . Maybe stick something up in it from inside to clear the bags. . . The main area widens out so hiding behind a wall , looking down the hallway to defend the main entrance would be an option , there won't be a second entrance or... -
