The arc22 has a steel baffle at the muzzle of the gun, known as a blast baffle. I have an arc22al which is rated .22lr only and haven't had any tumbling issues. I hope you can get this taken care of.

You are correct on starting from scratch. This particular rifle I can only do certain upgrades to and still be in the factory class. If I were to build one for unlimited class, I'd start with something like the Kidd reciever and build on to that.
