It's definitely a chore to restore them, and pricey to buy one already fixed up. I've enjoyed finding parts for it. This '72 was a hunting buggy that was traded to my dad for dues in his wingshooting club. Someone ran diesel through it and it had a flat wood bed with two bus seats drilled onto it.
One of the two FJ40s my dad and I have been trying to fix up. This one is a '72 with the 2F engine. We've had a lot bad luck with guys doing work on them. Hopefully I'll find the time/dedication to finish this one soon.
