I would look at a Lone Peak action, Proof barrel and a Mcmillan stock or chassis. No bedding work needed with a chassis. I am building one now and went with an AG Composites stock and hawking bottom metal and rings.
A fried an I were talking about doing a pheasant hunt in the next few years - probably the Dakotas. Does anyone have a person recommendation, I am not even sure where to start.
Thanks!
Jack
Let me know if you are shopping for a spotting scope. I have a Leupold SXI Ventana I was going to list, it has been used once at the rifle range. 15-45x60. Comes with Tripod and Case.

Good to know, headed on a guided Kentucky hunt with lows of 29 and highs of 40. They want you to remain on stand from dark to dark. Just want to make sure I am not miserable.
Wal-mart version of the camo 870 youth w/20" bbl - 20 gauge. At the smith getting drilled and tapped for a Burris FF3! Sumtoy base and choke designed for TSS!!
Let us know what you come up with - I just picked up a Browning X-bolt Western Hunter in Stainless and will be putting on the Z5 Sheep Hunter. Should run right at 8 pounds without the sling and ammo.
