  1. Alaska Handgun Recommendations

Semi auto limits his options a little. I would go with a Ruger Alaskan in 454 or 480.
  2. Hog Hunts

    Subd
  3. 300BO for deer, dedicated upper needed

Barrel yes, mags no. Although you can get dedicated 6.8 mags. I would say effective range is around 400 yards. Depending on bullet and load you could push it out a little further for hunting.
  4. 300BO for deer, dedicated upper needed

Just a bolt. It fits into the regular 556 carrier.
  5. 300BO for deer, dedicated upper needed

Do a 6.8 that way you can use your sbr lower. 6.8 will be more effective compared to the blackout at those ranges. Ar15perforance builds some great barrels and make a 12.5 inch one.
  6. Cleaning out the swamp

Nothing like a good fat beaver
  7. I'm aiming for there nuts this year

I am pretty sure it is always illegal. I might be wrong though. There might be a loophole, but for the average guy hunting in GA on public or private it is not legal to my knowledge. You can thank Mr. Knight for that one. Never did hear back from him on that.
  8. I need new trigger in my AR...

I like the Timney and Wilson Combat AR triggers. The 3lb Timney is what is in my SBR and I love it.
  9. To my fellow Hog Hunter Justin

I have hunted with Justin a few times as well. When I wanted to learn how to bow hunt he was right there willing to teach me. I am with georgiabow and have had the pleasure of hanging out and hunting with him and shooting the ****. I sent a PM wishing him a speedy recovery and I will say it here...
  10. Check this guy out

Haha oh well I thought it was cool regardless how many appearances it has made.
  11. Check this guy out

My mom just sent me this in a email. That is one massive rattler. From Here in Georgia we don’t screw around with those little piss ant snakes like they have in Texas and Arizona. Pat Long with Kadant was sitting in a ground blind with his son hunting hogs near Midway, GA. This rattler stuck...
  12. Night permitted deer hunt

Yea Bold Springs is gone now. They moved there operation down to Houston County. My dad used to work for them in in Monroe and Houston. We would go fish, four wheel, and hunt there a lot. I miss having that place to go to.
  13. Best locations for hunting Hogs in GA

I've seen a good bit at Richmond Hill as well. They are in the northern part of the state as well I have just had better luck in the south.
  14. Looking for HOG HUNTING HELP without dogs!

If it's a lease it is A OK to bait, as long as the owner is OK with it. Just can't do it on public land.
  15. Looking for HOG HUNTING HELP without dogs!

Throw some corn or peanuts out. They love the stuff. They will still be most active before sun up and sun down. I have heard jello powder works as well. I would just start by throwing some food out every day or 2 at the same time. They will find it and keep coming back for the easy meal.
  16. A stomp through the marsh.

And this is what he looks like now.
  17. A stomp through the marsh.

300 blackout ARs. Get the job done. I use mostly the Barnes 110g Vortex ammo, as well as the Atlanta Arms 125g. Both work well.
  18. A stomp through the marsh.

Yep they were pretty big and very sharp. Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of those that is for sure.
  19. A stomp through the marsh.

    Yep.
  20. A stomp through the marsh.

Haha look at my one eared piggy. It's OK he has some nice chompers on him.
