    They love the ripe ones. I gather them at the library near me, throw them out in our Gilmer spot, gone in a couple of days. I have found scat with the big seeds. Cant go wrong IMHO.

    Shot a nice doe 2 weeks ago with same bullet and weight in my cheap old Remington783. About 80-90 yards, bullet went right through both lungs, shattered 3 ribs on exit. Deer went down grunted once and was gone. I don't shoulder shoot, always lung/heart area.

    I guess you need to explain FUN. For some people, FUN is shooting at deer with no hope to hit it. For others, it is, as you say, a nice day in the woods. FUN for PETA is harassing hunters. I plan to hunt 1 Doe per year, use it strictly for food and share it with others.

    I saw the feeder on an outdoor show. It is a computer operated feeder, specifically correlated to specific pig sound frequency. It showed pigs going to the feeder and the feed doors open. It then showed other animals at the feeder and the doors stayed shut.

  16. Homebrew deer attractants

    I volunteer at a food pantry a couple days a week. When they have spoiled fruit, I put it in the freezer and when I head to Ellijay I make a mash of the fruit and water plus some deer cocaine. Splash it around. I may not be there when they are but it is obvious they have been there.

    Spent Friday and some Sat at our house in Ellijay. Sat in woods on ground blind. Lots of Thanksgiving traffic along road where deer come across to access our side. If I had a 22 could have made plenty of squirrel stew. Only one more doe day in Gilmer.
