First one I bought was the lee classic turret press. I was new to it and picked it up quickly with some YouTube videos. Bought it off here and came with nice table. I found that it wasn’t worth my time in the end and sold it with all the items I had for it. That was years ago when ammo was...
I use win 231 and also use the lee turret, 3.7 grains seems pretty light. Manual I use calls for at least 4.3 grains and the auto disk is labled .40 for loading 4.3 grains, this is for 115gr fmj. Hope this helps.
Where in west ga? Lee has a lot of good manuals. Im only reloading 4 calibers currently and the Lee classic turret press is working amazing for me so far. Very easy setup and very easy to operate.
Depends on how you look at it, I'm new to reloading and I'm sure I don't buy the best deals on components but do try to buy in bulk. I can make 100 rounds of 9mm for about $14
Wally world has the federal 100 packs for $21.50 including tax.
33% savings......I enjoy reloading so I don't see it...
I use the lee classic turret press. Cost of 100 rounds of .40 cost around $13-14. Like someone said above, your never gonna save any money by reloading, your gonna get to shoot more! :)
Gun shows have good deals on components.
Brass exchange has unbeatable prices on brass.
GA arms has...
Whats the gun show prices on bullets for your .223 guns? I have been reloading handgun ammo now for a few months and wanted to get into the rifle loading for .223 and was wondering how much can you save after getting the brass for the first time and cost of the rest of components. Thanks!!!!!!
I was in your shoes a few months ago deciding on which reloading kit to get. I was also leaning towards single stage because I was a noob. I ended up going with lee classic turret press and it's amazing!!!! Just read lots of books!!!! I figured if I got the single stage I would end up...
I'm new to reloading but paranoid when it comes to how much powder is being loaded. I use the Lee Auto disk and it's awesome!!!!! I've loaded several hundred rounds now and it keeps the same drop charge. Very happy!
I felt the accuracy was just as good as normal ammo. To be honest I chose to only reload 15 rounds to start and see how my gun fired/chambered/ejected the rounds before I made a bunch of ammo that may not be to the specs I needed. Now I'm in mass production :). Im gonna tinker with possibly...
