Like others have said, a good mount, a good light and a bullet tray is nice to have.
I’m only a year into reloading, it’s fun when you want to get away to the shop for some down time
I just finished loading up 90 Lehigh Defense 90gr Extreme Defense 9mm - I loaded up ten originally at 4.6gn of TiteGroup and shot them last time I was at the range. They all fed and ran smoothly thru my EDC so I finished out the other 90.
Target practice mainly with my EDC. I would imagine similar loads with a longer barreled match gun would probably get me over the 125,000 mark, no? I haven't dipped my toes in USPSA yet, still focusing on Steel Challenge and NRL22...but I plan to in the spring.
I check my powder weight fairly often with both a digital and regular scale...but it remains my biggest fear as a new loader...so I try to be extremely careful
I loaded these at 4.0G…although I think it really was on the lower side towards 3.9 based on my checks while loading. They shot great, no feed issues or anything. I’m going to load up a few hundred tomorrow!
They all measured between 1.075 - 1.088 of the random ones I selected out of the batch.
They all passed the case gauge check and I put a handful thru a barrel plunk test with no problem.
We shall see how they do
A small first batch of Hornady 9mm XTP 115G - I loaded them with TiteGroup 4.0gn
I’ll chrono them next weekend probably and then see if I want to pump out a few hundred
I hadn't really either...I can tell you the tray feels more sturdy than the finished round catch tray for the press straight from Dillon. It works really well on the InLine Fabrications mount I have
A big thanks to @Freshly Minted Georgian! for hooking me up with this bullet tray for my new RL550C. It looks amazing and matches the Dillon nicely.
The ODT is full of great folks like Bill, thanks again!!
