  1. Finally bought a Dillon - worth the price?

I bought what was one of the first 650's produced. Waited for almost a year for delivery. It was well worth the wait. Many rears later and many rounds loaded, my only advice for a new owner would be to invest in additional tool heads and powder measures for each caliber loaded. Saves time...
  2. Complete bullet casting setup

From your photo's looks like you have 1 lee bottom pour furnace, 6 6 cavity lee molds, 2 or possibly 3 lee single or double cavity molds, 3 lead molds , 1 bx gas checks, and one can of flux. If I am not correct please advise. I also need to know if molds are used and if so in what condition. Joe.
  3. Question about 30 carbine loading

Didn't do a very good job on photo's, let me know if I need to redo. Joe.
  4. Question about 30 carbine loading

I checked some of my old notes on the carbine and found a load for 11 gr of 2400 and 13 gr of h110, and 14 gr of 4227. With the 14 gr load of 4227 being a max load. Most of these were with the lyman bullet no 311359 ( 115-120 gr ) depending on the source, this is also a gas check design. the...
  5. Looking to start reloading...lotsa questions...

Been doing this for 50 plus years and am still buying new stuff. My original equiptment is still in use and will be handed down to my grandchildren. Let no one tell you that you will save money by reloading, in my experience all you do is get to shoot more for the same amount of money. If all...
  6. 30 carbine help

Be careful chasing max loads in the carbine. I have one in three pieces from that search many years ago, live and learn. That said in looking thru my 30 plus loading manuals the lightest bullet found was for a 93 gr. jacketed in several of my old lyman/ideal manuals that called for something...
  7. I need help from the brain trust.

I would suggest a call to the Dillon technical staff tomorrow. They will walk you thru the whole process and offer repair parts if they think it is necessary.
  8. Question to expierenced reloaders

You don't save money reloading. You just get to shoot more for the same money, and if you take care of your equiptment it will last several lifetimes.
  9. Issue with .380 auto?

I had an issue similar to yours with an older set of rcbs 380 dies several years ago. After contacting them and explaining the problem they sent a new sizer die that solved the problem. You might try contacting lyman to see if they would offer a similar solution to your problem.
  10. Looking for the fellow in Newnan that cast Bullets

There's a current ad for some 300 gr leads that may be interesting to you. Amazingjoe.
