  9. New gun - working up a load question(s)

The riffle seems to be capable of more. Start at 300 then ask yourself the same questions. Up it and then ask again with all the reload data there is no doubt you selected a good load. With a built riffle I would have a light bullit load a heavy bullet load and a quick load ( lee dipper type...
  10. Smokey loads with lead?

Lube mostly - lead with a coating and no lube will be a lot less smoke almost as cheap most like the tumbled moly but lee has alox there is a specked copper one also. I have used only the ga arms moly coating with good results.

  12. School me on bullet and powder grain relationship please

Several reasons Bullet is larger so there is less room in the case has to go father in not father out. (Take special note tho that cause when your star. Quest for accuracy the powder needs to be close to 100% of volume some like compression some powders hate it)The heavier bullet is slower so...
  13. Hot loads for a 10mm

It really depends on the grain bullet vs powder - some powders like blue dot will take being compressed a bit and some won't. I found that a 220 gr and #7 work good for me but don't fool around much with the lighter weights. A 180 gr just about all the appropriate powders will get it hot enough...

Honestly if you are only doing 45 get a used single stage. Smart and lee is ok rcbs is better . the Dillon if you got the coin. But a lee die 4 piece it will come with a dipper and a sheet to get you started. You can buy the powder that will match that dipper. A hand prier cost about 20 a...
  18. New to Reloading

All of these are Telly good tips for consistency and accuracy. One thing I will elaborate on is the filling of the case. The closer the powder is, when at full charge, to the bottom of the seated bullet is the better. This is 100% capacity and yes you can pack it in to over some powders like...
