  1. Ford's new all electric F-150. Really?

I read where the standard battery is projected to go 230 miles with a full charge.
  2. vehicle a/c issue

This string is getting pretty long but the A/C systems frequently clog when the compressor valves fail. Small particles then move through the system and collect at the expansion valve or oriface tube. The system then has to be flushed before replacing the old parts. In most cases the...
  3. Anyone on here trust me enough...

Like I mentioned above, bet you end up taking up Mr. Booshie's offer. Those bolts can drive you crazy.
  4. Anyone on here trust me enough...

I bet you end up taking Mr. Booshie up on his offer. Cheap impacts just don't have the power. Done a few of these myself and even broke the Honda holding tool while trying once. That Snap-on looks like the ticket. I ended up having to use 3/4 inch impact wrenches used for semi wheels. Never...
  5. I now do U joints

Just love the mood music, but after looking at your work, I think you are spending far to much of your time on other types of joints.
  6. Craftsman Mower Question

Get some "Mechanic in a Bottle" at wally world. Follow directions and it will fix that sticking float. Agree with adding the cut off valve.
  7. cheapest place for Ford parts?

    Tons of them on EBay.
  8. Honda Odysee Mini van sliding doors

I've changed out several warn rollers on these doors. Fairly simple if you're handy with tools and just take your time. Lots of utube examples.
  9. DRW vs SRW

It has its drawbacks and hassles but, if you pull a trailer, a dually is the way to go. Been driving both for over 50 years.
  10. Won’t accelerate past 60-65

Could be a bad TPS (throttle sensor). When you increase the throttle does it accelerate normally to say 2500, then jump to 5000. Had several go bad in GM cars.
  11. Fuel in air filter box (atv)?

And turn off the gas and run it dry whenever you put it up for over a few days.
  12. New starter motor>clutch noise

Whirring noise with the clutch depressed is normally a bad throw-out bearing. The clutch is not connected to starter but I guess a tooth broken off the fly wheel or the old starter could have dropped into the pressure plate which is connected to the clutch and might be causing the noise. Good...
  13. Brake issues!

I hope these folks don't reload.
  14. what is this?

The last one is a late model do-hicki.
  15. Any Ford techs (Grand Marquis window issue)

I've replaced many of these. Never had one stuck where I couldn't either remove the motor in the door to release the tension or hack saw the regulator in half. If the cable is tight, try cutting the cable. The rivets are a pain but if you take your time, you will get it out.
  16. How important can two little washers be?

I change my own oil and since I'm old, have done hundreds of changes. A few years back I forgot to check to see if the old oil filter gasket came off the engine when I removed the oil filter. Well you can guess the rest. After the change and about 100 yards down the street the large black...
