You don't have to worry about having the transponder with you on the bike I was told. Because they so often don't get activated by the motorcycles, they end up video verifying them. I was told this is not a problem, they understand that's how it is with the motorcycles. I haven't had a peach...
I called and you don't have to physically attach it to your bike, they will verify by video.
I am not worried about them being used as "speed cameras," but I tend not to speed much compared to other riders or cars.
Glad they hooked you up. I was going to say it should be no problem, as I was in there 2 weeks ago to get the history on my wife's car. All they did was ask for the VIN, no proof of ownership or anything.
I put a CAI on an 01 Ram that I had. It didn't help MPGs at all, but I did notice it opened up a flat spot in the 2-3000 RPM range.
On my current S10, I simply "swissed" the air box and installed a K&N drop in, as it supposedly works just as well for this truck.
The V8s generally get better mileage in trucks than V6s because they don't have to work as hard to move the weight around. There is a whole forum dedicated to guys swapping in 5.7s in the S10 and their mileage always goes up substantially (s10v8.com).
And the model S10 also has an impact on...
I have an 03 S10 with the 4.3. No issues with the engine yet but get ready to replace the heater core (did that Friday, took 10 hours) and the A/C compressor.
And don't be like me and think "oh I'm going from a V8 to a V6, my mpg is going to be so much better" lol.
Just wondering if anyone has somewhere they would recommend for installing an exhaust on my truck. Nothing crazy, just hoping to boost mpg's a bit and get a little rumble.
In the Atlanta area or Alpharetta area, I'm in both quite frequently.
Thanks in advance.
