So you would want your vehicle to have this feature? That more or less makes sense...I'm not super mechanically inclined, but I get the picture. So are you more likely to find this feature on, say, older vehicles? Early 90's and back?
There's a short or something somewhere. You can spend hundreds to find exactly where, or you can try a couple obvious places...replace fuses, etc...and if that doesn't work, just know that you have to let it warm up for 15 minutes in the morning.
One thing about vehicles that old...they're...
Thanks for the tips, guys. I'm going to try the gas tank thing and take it up in the morning.
Yeah, the check engine light is not on and it's not throwing any codes since I put in the O2 sensor. I've had a couple people now tell me 2 "incompletes" is ok, but when I called an emission testing...
Ok, so I'm having a heckuva time getting my 2000 Trooper ready for emissions testing. Had to change out an O2 sensor and got that monitor and code to reset, but I'm still showing two "incomplete" monitors and they're not resetting. Been driving it a couple days, both highway and around town...
Half price is pretty good!
Seriously, though, I think Glenn gave me a pretty good price. Beat the "discounted" price from the other places I called around to.
It's a 2000 Trooper 4wd.
I haven't actually ordered anything or committed to any shop. I'm looking around at other parts stores and other shops to get quotes.
Guess I should mention I'm in Acworth.
Thanks.
I'm ordering a memanned tranny from Advance Auto Parts and need a shop to put it in. Their recommended shop wants $822. Anyone know of anywhere that'll do it cheaper and that won't jack it up?
Thanks.
lol, well, it's a moot point now. I reset it and drove it around just a bit today...only to find the transmission has taken a dump...again...just got it rebuilt one year and 10k miles ago and the shop won't honor the warranty as it expired on the 8th...
So...anyone interested in a 2000...
So I had to change out an O2 sensor on my Trooper because it failed emissions. Got the check engine light to go off, but the original code is still stored on the computer, I know. I can reset it if I have to, but if I do, I have to drive it around a while longer before it's ready for...
