Now we are gonna see these in the classifieds 3 months from now for 375 each. Remember a few years ago when gen 1 RMRs went on sale? I saw them for 75-100 over the sale price for nearly a year afterwords.
My dads Colt Woodsman from the 70s or 80s ran like a race horse, and I’m pretty sure it was never fully cleaned, just bore brushed. I had it for a while before my brother wanted it and ran a huge assortment of ammo through it. I don’t remember any malfunctions, from my childhood or adult life.
I found some under armor camo late last summer on the clearance rack for like 10 and 20 bucks. Whatever survives this sale will be discounted even further in a few months.
Yes, it feels a little wider than the Geiselle. It has a very light curve to it, kind a hybrid between a hooked trigger and a flat face. It feels good. The Geiselle is radiused, so the corners roll off. I think the Larue has a more square faced profile.
I have a lower with a Geiselle flat face two stage (can’t remember what they call it), and a lower with the MBT. The Geiselle is just hair crisper. Not sure if it is 150 bucks crisper, but if the prices were the same I would grab a Gesielle. But for the price the Larue is the way to go...
My boss got one in a trade that a man used to shoot himself. He didn’t want a gun with that history, but once he shot it he fell in love with it. They have awesome triggers, good ergonomics and a low bore axis, which adds into a sweet shooter.
I would be cautious shooting too close, especially with rifles. Just make sure you use the dome head bolts facing out. Too many right angles on the strike face will sent small shards of jacket back at you. I've never been hurt by any, but you do feel them hit you. Wear eye pro anytime you shoot...
Some are a little beat. Just check the switch and make sure it isn't gritty with grime. Mine is a little stiff, felt fine in shop, but once I put it on a gun and tried to use it with the tip of my trigger finger I felt a little grit. Should be fine once I hit it with some air duster.
