  1. Glock 19 for sub ODT prices

My God, how much did they spend on that mounting system for the displaying of pistols?
  2. Danner Sharptail Boots on sale and others at Midway

I've got a $350+ pair of steel toed Redwings in the closet. Decided they hurt too much to wear so I'm babying my 8 year old $95 out of production Wolverines.
  3. Publix standing rib roast-$6.99 lb

Many of the SKUs in the produce department at Kroger and Walmart appear to me to be grades B, C, or even D in some cases. Some of it actually looks rotten when the clerk is stocking the tables/shelves. This lower grade (not USDA Grade A) produce costs a fraction of Grade A and allows for...
  4. Publix standing rib roast-$6.99 lb

Not dropping, just changed what metrics were used (a little). I'm convinced Kroger is selling Standard as Select. When my dad owned a Piggly Wiggly grocery store in the late 1960's and early 1970's, Select grade was ground for pet food. Most customers would not buy it for human consumption...
  5. Publix standing rib roast-$6.99 lb

There was a shift in the late 1960's on what metrics were used to determine USDA grades of beef. I've got a copy of that standards document and the changes but I can't put my fingers on it at the moment. It's available online. Here is a history of beef grading (mostly voluntary from my...
  6. Publix standing rib roast-$6.99 lb

Same as COSTCO in my opinion. Their "Choice" is usually just as good as "Prime" for flavor and tenderness in my experience.
  7. Publix standing rib roast-$6.99 lb

Kroger routinely sells "Select" grade as "Choice" or Black Angus (a brand really, not a grade of beef). I'm convinced of it. Haven't bought meat at Kroger in a couple of years. It's disgusting, especially in East Macongo at the North Ave. Kroger.
  8. Publix standing rib roast-$6.99 lb

Dropped off @bambam after the gun show yesterday and popped into Publix (@bambam lives on the civilized side of Macongo where retailers can put stock out without too much fear of theft) to buy some coffee and decided to look at the meat case to see what might be on sale. Really nice standing...
  9. There are great deals to be had in the Biden economy.

I've never mounted any type of optic other than a Palma Int'l sight set using a Mo' DeFina mount.
  10. There are great deals to be had in the Biden economy.

Won money. When shooting against other M1As, but not against AMU 19 year olds shooting poodle killers.
  11. There are great deals to be had in the Biden economy.

Interesting. I've had 8 of these over the past 30 years and used them in scores of competitions, never lost a zero. You buying yours second hand from @Bypass?
  12. There are great deals to be had in the Biden economy.

Yes, the auction is closed. It was referenced for illustrative purposes only. No neckbearding possible on this one. Just pointing out that there are deals to be had if you look.
  13. There are great deals to be had in the Biden economy.

Once in a while you see one like this: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1021795956 That's an old 5 line with a desirable serial number range, plus it's a National Match, not a "Standard Issue" rifle.
  14. Black Friday sale on 36inch Blackstone griddle $249.00

FTFY. You trying to get a job at the Japanese Waffle House?
  15. Kosmos BBQ rubs free samples edit OOS now

Hell yeah! I need some reparations!
  16. Kosmos BBQ rubs free samples edit OOS now

'bout like the 9mm fiasco a couple of months ago. I have all my neckbeard dreams crushed when that turned out to be an error.
  17. Kosmos BBQ rubs free samples edit OOS now

I replied to it. Told them I'd give some of their stuff a try in the future but I make my own rubs. When I'm cooking ribs I have "orders" from friends and family that want some to take home after whatever gathering I'm cooking for.
  18. Kosmos BBQ rubs free samples edit OOS now

I was jut there in Macongo on North Ave. No joy. $2.29/lb.
  19. Kosmos BBQ rubs free samples edit OOS now

Seriously? They have 99 cent/lb butts? I'm going to need four for Feb 24.
