  1. Thanks for the replies and advice.

My best guess is this is possibly a clerical error? Maybe someone with your same name in that county has pending charges and the clerk or whoever did the "background check" just used your name and not all info like DOB, SSN, etc...? Not sure how to fix it, but that sure does suck.
  2. Jury clears man charged with making illegal silencers

Below is what frustrates me. All I read from that is "If we, the ATF, feel like making your life difficult, we can and will". "See’s legal team argued that the ATF did not test fire the seized items and did not conduct additional machining needed to create functional suppressors from the...
  3. Ship stripped lower?

I always heard a pistol had to be shipped in 2 days or less? Heard this from 3-4 FFL's?? Anyone validate this?
  4. Ship stripped lower?

Thank god the ATF makes everything clear and concise. ATF be like, "We have a new ruling, here ya go..."
  5. Suppressor info

They are super easy to deal with. I emailed my trust and they did literally everything else, including mailing off the paperwork. Just sign a few things and off you go. Not sure if @TruPrep does, but I know @DogLegArms does for sure and had a descent stock of stuff not too long ago.
  6. Suppressor info

@CHEROKEE GUN Rick, can you clarify on the layaway NFA payment terms for us?
  7. Suppressor info

Did the complete opposite when I did mine. ETA: You are correct. I had my head up my ass. Realized they just need the last payment by approval.
  8. Suppressor info

= freaking annoying.... Enough **** to submit already. Why they saw a need for more is beyond me.
  9. Suppressor info

IMHO, yes, it will be annoying as well after 07/13.
  10. Shouldering a brace?

    This^^^^^
  11. Shouldering a brace?

Well, yes. It gets cheaper the more you do as The $100 for the trust you possibly want to buy will cost out over every item added. You don't HAVE TO use a trust, its just recommended. ETA: If you are buying a SBR from a manufacturer on a Form 4, no need to engrave. SBR's are typically more...
  12. Shouldering a brace?

Form-1 it, pay your $200, engrave your lower with your trust, wait for your stamp, then take the pistol receiver extension off and install a normal rifle stock → collapsible or fixed.

  14. Shouldering a brace?

I understand that no, you still cannot shoulder it. i believe you can rest it on your chin though... For the cost of many of those braces, really close to the $200 stamp...
  15. Car Title. Help!

    These are valid points
  16. Car Title. Help!

Ok, so I work a M-F job and pay my effective 24.5% of taxes every paycheck. Joe Schmo should be able to float tiles, get around the requirement for a dealers license and pay no taxes in his under the table income? I don't like NEW taxes on anything, but if you are trading out cars every 2-3...
  17. Car Title. Help!

2 things, 1) I already noted what you said above. 2) TAVT is bad ONLY if you are buying and selling frequently and from a private party. Yes, I like it. My STI, and wife's RAV4 will be MUCH cheaper in the long run. I dont get it, you use to pay sales tax AND ad valorem every year. Now, you...
  18. Car Title. Help!

Strange you have it registered without the title in your name. 3 options 1) you did have the title somehow, and can apply for a lost title. Since it is registered to you, you probably are on the title and can just apply for a lost one. 2) Previous owner applies for lost title and upon...
